The bass is very powerful, but is rich and defined without being overpowering to the other frequencies. Mid bass is great, not as good as the low bass, but better than the mids. The mids are a little lacking but your not going to notice because the bass and mid bass make up for it. The treble was just unbelievably clear and crisp without being sharp, which surprised me for bass intensive headphones. The reason why you cant use these with a mp3 player is because the mp3 player can not put out enough power to actually power these headphones.
